The Concept Seating 3156 Bariatric Chair provides a generous 26.5" wide seat with a new bariatric tilt mechanism engineered and developed by Concept Seating. It is built to support up to 800 lbs. setting a new standard in Bariatric 24/7 seating and is unequaled with its distinctive, rugged simplicity. Concept Seating’s acclaimed Ergo Air Suspension System provides superior comfort by dispersing seated pressure over the entire seat surface helping to improve blood flow and increase oxygen level to tissues. All this leads to improved concentration, productivity and deceased fatigue. No springs means no squeaky or flattened springs.
BARIATRIC TILT
Provides three seat pan angle positions with two separate back angle adjustments.
BARIATRIC SEAT DEPTH ADJUSTMENT
Set the depth of the chair to fit your size with four seat depth adjustments.
HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
Control the height of the chair by turning the large hand wheel to adjust the height of the screw jack locking it in place with the jam nut with a handle. The height adjustment range on the bariatric chair is 3”.
BARIATRIC ARMREST
Made from 5/16” steel, these heavy-duty arms are adjustable in height and width.
7-LEG BASE
Seven legs means 20% ease of movement and more stability over five leg chairs. This is especially important for larger individuals that find moving in their chair difficult. Steel construction with metal strength ring and tested to 10,000lb dynamic load, our base is unmatched in strength and stability.
SAFETY CASTERS
Two point stem, shock absorber and special bore construction provides an extremely smooth and quiet swivel and roll not found in standard casters. Once the chair is sat in, the brake is released and allows the chair to roll freely. This is important for large people that need to put weight on the arms to be able to sit. Spring shock absorber prolongs the life of the caster as well as the chair. Closed Construction reduces the amount of dirt and hair that can get into the caster, prolonging the life of the caster.
ADJUSTABLE LUMBAR SUPPORT
Infinitely adjustable lumbar support puts back pressure relief at your fingertips. Adjustable back insures lumbar is exactly where you want it.
ERGO AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM
Our Ergo Air Suspension (EAS2) dissipates the occupant’s weight over the entire chair surface improving blood flow and increasing oxygen levels to tissues. Improved blood flow and increased oxygen levels improves concentration and productivity and decreases fatigue. EAS2 conforms to the shape of each occupant, as it almost instantly bounces back to original shape when weight is lifted. No springs eliminates the chances of squeaky or flattened springs.
REPLACEABLE COVERS & FOAM
Covers and foam can wear, but our frames are virtually indestructible. Bring back that "brand new" look in minutes even after years of 24/7 service. Simply remove the covers and foam and replace with new ones. Covers are held on back hook-and-loop and can be replaced in a matter of minutes.
ALL STEEL FRAME
Ten gauge steel maintains the original tensile strength and rigidity over years of 24/7 heavy duty use.
WARRANTY
The best warranty you’ll never need. Chair is covered by a 6 year parts only warranty that includes all normal wear and tear. Chair is covered by a 10 year warranty that includes all manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship. Weight limit is 800 lb in a multi-shift environment.
